Medicare Supplment/Medigap

Medicare Supplement, or Medigap, is private insurance that helps cover costs not included in Original Medicare, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. Available to those with Medicare Part A and Part B, Medigap plans are standardized and offer varying levels of coverage. These plans do not cover prescription drugs, which requires a separate Part D plan.

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

Medicare Advantage, also known as Part C, is an alternative to Original Medicare offered by private companies. These plans bundle Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance) and often include additional benefits like prescription drug coverage, dental, vision, and wellness programs. Medicare Advantage plans may have different network restrictions and out-of-pocket costs compared to Original Medicare, providing a more comprehensive, but potentially more limited, healthcare solution.

Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D)

Medicare Part D is prescription drug coverage offered by private insurance companies to help cover the cost of medications. Available to anyone with Medicare Part A or Part B, Part D plans vary in cost and the medications they cover, but they all help reduce the out-of-pocket expenses for prescriptions. This coverage is essential for those needing regular medication, providing financial relief and access to necessary drugs.
